Summerdart and Minidart online registration is closed. Contact for information on openings.

Summerdarts, offered by the Davis Aquadarts, is an eight-week summer swim team for children ages five through teens.  Swim practices emphasize the introduction and improvement of stroke skills, water fitness, water games, and introduction to competition in a fun atmosphere.  Hour-long practices are offered M-F with no mandatory attendance requirements. Practices are geared for swimmers of all ability levels, from novice to experienced. Optional swim meets will be held on weekends and some evenings throughout the summer. We also offer DART Fit, which offers fitness/dryland exercise and swimming in a 1.25 hour daily practice for children ages 9-15.

Minidarts: Younger swimmers ages 4-6 can join our Minidarts program. 30-minute sessions are held at Community Pool on T-W-TH. Coaches work with children in small groups, teaching them swim skills and the four swim strokes, engage them in fun swim games, and introduce them to swim team and swim meets. Optional swim meets are offered.

There is a non-refundable fee of $50.00 should a refund be granted.   Enrollment is nontransferable and cannot be prorated based on vacations or partial attendance.  Refunds not granted for swimmers not receiving desired swim practice time. Any Summerdart or Minidart not meeting necessary swim skills will receive a full refund.

• Families enrolling three or more Summer/Minidart swimmers from the same household qualify for a third swimmer discount (the first two swimmers pay full fees and all other siblings pay half fee).  Third child discount is applied to the lowest registration fee.

• Scholarships and payment schedules are available upon request through our Brady Family Scholarship Fund.  Scholarship applications are available at under the Summerdarts link, and must be returned by April 20 to be considered.   All scholarship swimmers are required to pay a minimum fee of $50.00.  If you are submitting a scholarship application, you pay only $50.00 per swimmer at the time of registration and will be notified later as to the total amount of your scholarship.

We are joining up with Davis Tennis Academy to offer a morning camp for kids ages 6-12 this summer. It will be offered at Community for six one-week sessions from 9 am to 1 pm Monday-Friday. Each day will offer a swim practice with DART staff, a tennis lesson through Davis Tennis Academy, an arts/crafts/games/snack break, and a free swim time at Community Pool.   Children can sign up for one session or multiple sessions. Additionally, if parents need a full day offering, we are partnering with Davis Kids Klub, who offer full day programs for children in the summer at North Davis Elementary. DART Camp participants can register with Kids Klub at  Registration open now here

All Summerdart swimmers (new or returning) ages 10 and younger must have a swim evaluation to facilitate proper group placement within their workout time and to determine readiness for the program. Evaluations will be held May 14-18 at Civic Center Pool. At these evaluations, swimmers must demonstrate the following skills to be eligible for Summerdarts:

  • Familiarity of freestyle (ability to swim 15 feet, with breathing, unaided)
  • Familiarity of backstroke (ability to swim 15 feet, unaided)
  • Bobs (rhythmic breathing)
  • Kicking with a kickboard
  • Comfort of swimming in all areas/depths of water

Minidarts do not need evaluations but must meet the following minimum skills to participate:

  • Comfortable in the water
  • Bobbing (rhythmically breathing with face in and out of the water while standing in water or holding on to side)
  • Willing to put face in the water and float comfortably
  • Ability to take one or more breaths while floating and/or kicking with a kickboard
  • Willing to attempt floating on back

Swimmers who do not meet the minimum swim skill levels will receive a full refund.
